Awesome art concept takes over Underground Atlanta amid spectacular transformation
There’s a brand new pop-up concept happening bi-weekly at Underground Atlanta. The Underground Creative Carts Collective debuted on July 24, and will run through until December. A rotating group of artists will transform Underground’s wooden cart kiosks into pieces of incredible art.
This spectacular arts market is curated by Atlanta-based artist Monet Rumford, and we’re looking forward to taking in the different creations from the collective throughout the rest of the year.
The first event had 10 carts on display, and there’s plenty more where that came from. With hopes to keep expanding as the project develops. The market included artists Liberato Patecumbia, Danae Antoine, and Ting. For more information on the Collective as it comes and expands, follow The Underground Creative Carts Collective on Instagram.
The project is part of a bigger goal to transform Underground Atlanta into the ultimate entertainment hotspot in the city. There’s already a brand new drag and dine venue bringing drag excellence to Downtown Atlanta. A brand new food hall is set to open at the entertainment district soon.
Make sure you check out the next Underground Creative Carts Collective, happening bi-weekly until December. Their next event will be on Saturday 21 August. See you there, Atlanta.
You can find Underground Atlanta at 50 Upper Alabama St, 30303.
