Cupid’s Undie Run is a yearly charity run where participants hit the streets in dozens of cities to raise money and awareness for those living with Neurofibromatosis, a genetic disorder that causes tumors. But the catch… you do it in your undies! That’s right, all the runners (if they’re comfortable, of course) run in their underwear!
Okay, I’m listening, what are the details?
Date: February 10, 2024
Time: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM, with the run beginning around 2 PM
Starting Place: 3717 Roswell Rd, Atlanta, GA 30342 (The Ivy)
But it’s so much more than just a run! The event starts with drinks and dancing, and then all the undie-clad participants jog it out for about a mile… and the event finishes off with a DANCE PARTAY! A little drink will also help hold off the cold since… did I mention you’re running in your undies? (So don’t forget your ID! You’ll need it to participate!)
How can I sign up?
You can register as an individual or with your friends as a team on their website. Registration is $40 per person.
And if running isn’t your thing, but you still want to help out, you can still show your support as a virtual runner or with a donation!
How is Cupid’s Undie Run making an impact?
Cupid’s Undie Run explains it best on their website:
“We run in our undies because those affected by NF can’t cover up their tumors. They can’t put on clothes to feel more comfortable, so why should we?
Throughout its 14 year-run, Cupid’s Undie Run has brought together 108,600 undie runners across 255 events. In total, it has raised over $21M since its inception.”
Currently, Atlanta has only raised 11.2 K out of their $50,000 goal.
So come on out and show your support, Atlanta! It’s a fun experience, a great cause, and it’ll have you in the Valentine’s Day spirit in no time!
