Diwali is one of the largest festivals celebrated in India. This year, Diwali falls on Friday, November 1st, 2024.
This Hindu holiday, known also as the Festival of Lights, is also celebrated by many from the other major religions of the country: Hindus, Jains, Sikhs, Muslims and some Buddhists. And for the first time ever, Atlantic Station, partnered with the Atlanta Film Society and NaanStop, is hosting a Diwali Festival for all who want to celebrate to come together and enjoy the festivities!
What can attendees expect at the Diwali Festival at Atlantic Station?
This vibrant event will begins at 6pm with a Bollywood movie screening of the classic “Dil to Pagal Hai” (1997)! From there, festival attendees can enjoy tons of amazing acuities like:
- Traditional Indian dance performances and décor
- Mehndi (henna tattoos)
- Craft stations
- Shop from tons of specialty vendors
- Instagram-worthy moments
- and so much more!
And of course, it wouldn’t be Diwali without some truly mouthwatering Indian food! Guests can buy delicious Indian cuisine, cocktails and chai from NaanStop! You’ll love everything on the menu at NaanStop! But we recommend trying their lamb, which is slow-cooked for 4 hours in a tomato and yogurt sauce!
