Fall has officially descended upon the south and what a relief! The breeze has been perfect and the days have been gorgeous. The nights are even more amazing. With balmy evenings and clear skies, it is the perfect time to see this seasons first full moon. And what a sight it will be!
We can enjoy this beautiful sight not once, but TWICE! In October, the full moon also goes by other names which include, “Sanguine Moon, the “Dying Grass Moon” and the “Travel Moon.” The exact date and time of this Hunters Moon is Sunday October 9, 2022. Viewers can expect to enjoy a glowing orange colored moon for approximately 15 minutes.
The deal time to look for this gorgeous site is as it rises. To really experience the moon in all its glory, the best time to view will be just after sunset on Sunday October 9. BONUS! If you are unable to see the Hunter moon the first night, you will have a second chance! On Monday October 10 viewers have the opportunity to see it just after sunset. It is recommended to go somewhere high up to get the ideal view. You won’t need to any special equipment for these two sightings. So grab friends, a SO, or family and enjoy this gorgeous kick off to our fall season.
