Nothing eases the mind more than a community yoga class, and we could all utilize some extra-Zen in our lives. Luckily, Woodruff Park plays host to this free yoga session every Saturday, perfect for all-levels to get together and connect and practice their yoga.
The fun and open-air classes uses vinyasa flow yoga, promising an accessible and meditative experience. You’ll feel peaceful yet invigorated following the sixty minute class, eager to return for next Saturdays iteration.
Vinyasa flow is yoga that incorporates sun salutations throughout the practice, so we will be passing through the infamous downward-facing dog, using our arms to chaturanga throughout practice, and matching breath with movement.
The weekly classes are coordinated in partnership with Amador Yoga. They take place on the lawn in the center of the Park from 9am until 10am. Yoga classes are open to the public with an RSVP. You must bring your own mat and water. For more information and to book a spot, visit their website.
This is just one of the many awesome free yoga classes open to ATLiens across the city, with other programs on offer on Colony Square and at Battery Atlanta. Click the appropriate link for more information.
