And according to a new study from CBD.co, a leading online CBD marketplace, Georgia has officially ranked among the most stressed states in the United States.
Where does Georgia rank?
Georgia is officially the 10th ‘most stressed state in the U.S.’, coming in right behind Kentucky. The number 1 most stressed state in the U.S., according to this study, is actually Alaska.
The top ten looks like this:
- Alaska
- Arkansas
- Nevada
- Alabama
- New Mexico
- California
- Mississippi
- Arizona
- Kentucky
- Georgia
How did CBD.co come up with these stats?
To find out which states were the most stressed, CBD.co created a 0-100 scale and ranked states on this scale. They broke down stress into four main categories: work stress, finance stress, family stress, and health & safety stress. These categories broke down into even more specific categories, ranging from unemployment, average working ours, credit scores, divorce rates, crime rates, mental health index… and so much more.
Why is Georgia so stressed?
CBD.co says that Georgia’s score is a 50.09 out of 100. They say that Georgia’s main stress factors were financial and work stress, which come from economic disparities and high costs of living (especially in Atlanta).
