Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival

If you’re looking for a fun cherry blossom festival close to town, check out Brookhaven’s iconic annual Cherry Blossom Fest! This FREE festival will be hosted in Blackburn Park and features over 100 artists, a fun kids’ zone, a pet world, a classic car show, some truly mouthwatering treats, and of course, cherry blossoms!
And to top it all off, guests can expect musical performances from The Head and the Heart to Natasha Bedingfield (and more)!

Experience over 350,000 cherry trees blooming during Macon’s International Cherry Blossom Festival! One of the biggest cherry blossom celebrations in Georgia, Macon bursts into bloom every March with more than 350,000 Yoshino cherry trees—plus a citywide International Cherry Blossom Festival packed with family events, a Cherry Blossom Trail, lantern tours, races, and more. The next festival runs March 20–29, 2026 across multiple locations in Macon.
Gibbs Garden

Home to the largest daffodil display in the country, this mind-blowing garden is definitely one of Georgia’s floral gems.
Set on the sprawling estate of Jim Gibbs, you’ll see hundreds of Yoshino cherries (the same ornamental cherry trees that bloom at the Tidal Basin in Washington, D.C.) in the gardens as well Kwanzan cherries, which bloom later and have double pink blooms.

The Governor’s Mansion

If you’re looking for a close-to-home cherry blossom experience, head to the Governor’s Mansion to see some beautiful blooms.
In 2012, then Georgia governor Nathan Deal, along with his First Lady, Sandra Deal, hosted an official cherry tree planting ceremony in conjunction with the Consulate General of Japan, and today, you can go see them!
In general, visitors can tour the grounds on Tuesdays-Thursdays. But check the governor’s website for specific available dates and times.
