The legendary Keke Palmer will head to Atlanta to film her new movie, ‘I Love Boosters’ in October. The film has been in production in Oakland, California so far. It will move to Georgia by the end of October. According to report by the Atlanta Journal-Consitution, the film “is scheduled to be in Norcross from Oct. 28 to Dec. 13.”
What’s ‘I Love Boosters’ about?
According to TMDB,
The Velvet Gang is a ring of female shoplifters, lead by Corvette. They survive on ‘boosting’ clothing items from department stores. However, their next target, the CEO of a designer brand, has just ripped off Corvette’s idea, and the Velvet Gang’s retaliation may spark an unintended ‘revolution.’
The film was written and will be directed by Boots Riley, who you might also know from ‘Sorry to Bother You’ and ‘I’m a Virgo.’ Right now, the only known cast is Corvette, played by Keke Palmer.
As we know more about the cast and any other big names that’ll be in the area, we’ll let you know! We love getting visits from celebrities!
According to some reports, the filming will take place at OFS Global Headquarters in Norcross, GA.
This is great news for the film industry in Georgia, which has recently seen a bit of a slow-down in productions in the state. You can check out tons of things that have been filmed right here in Atlanta here, if you’re curious about what’s been shot here!
This won’t be Keke Palmer’s first time shooting in the ATL, either. She’s done a few films and TV shows here over the years, including CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story, Hustlers, and Star here in Atlanta.
