Atlanta is currently home to the largest outdoor art gallery in the Southeast, and we couldn’t be more excited about it! With more than 200 gorgeous works of art featured on street banners in just one. square. mile. of the city, there’s so much to see!
About the display
It all started when Midtown Alliance, which is a nonprofit member organization that works to revitalize and enhance Midtown Atlanta, placed a call for art earlier this year. In early 2024, the organization received hundreds of submissions, and from those submissions, selected over 200 amazing works of art to be displayed on street banners in Midtown. They selected art from professionals, students, amateurs, and hobbyists alike, and the works include oil paintings, photography, mixed media, illustration, and more!

What happens to the art after the exhibit closes?
Midtown Alliance has said that they plan to keep the banners up for roughly a year. Then they’ll assess the gallery’s future and rotating in new artwork. They have made it clear, however, that Midtown Alliance will give all the decommissioned art banners to the individual artists! A nice keepsake.
