We’ve been blessed with some gorgeous full moons all 2022 and now it is our final chance to experience the last total lunar eclipse until 2025! If you’ve enjoyed all the lunar eclipses and harvest moons we’ve gotten to experience then you’re not going to want to miss the last lunar eclipse for the next few years.
This next lunar eclipse is perfect for those early birds or anyone working a graveyard shift. The ideal time to see this amazing sight will be at the early morning hours of November 8 beginning at 4:09am. For those commenting early in the morning, you might still get the chance to see the moon completely glowing red around 6:42am. The lunar eclipse isn’t the only big thing happening in Atlanta today.
This last lunar eclipse is known as the ‘Beaver Blood Moon Eclipse’. While many Americans eyes will be undoubtedly glued to their television or phones to see if their candidate has won their states race, we will also be able to enjoy a glimpse of this blood moon before all votes end are tallied by end of day. While necessarily not the cutest name for a blood moon, it is perfectly titled this as it coincides with the time of year that the beaver goes back into its shelter. Viewers won’t need any special equipment to witness this phenomenon, BUT if they want a more detailed view, binoculars and telescopes are encouraged.
As most of us know the final day to cast your vote on state officials is also today! If you have already voted early *cheers*, but if not you can click this link to find out more about the candidates and where your polling place will be. No matter which way you vote, today is an important day to make your voice known!
