Hallelujer! Fans of Tyler Perry’s iconic character, Madea, can get excited for a brand new Madea movie! The Atlanta-based filmmaker, Tyler Perry, is working on the 14th film about his hilarious protagonist, Madea: ‘Madea’s Destination Wedding’ and we’re so excited to see it when it comes out!

Earlier, we reported that the film was shooting in January here in Atlanta at Tyler Perry Studios, with some additional shoot dates in the Dominican Republic. (Hense, Madea’s destination wedding!)

This hilarious new script will charm you and, of course, have you laughing out loud. And this time, Madea is taking her hilarious story abroad.

What’s ‘Madea’s Destination Wedding’ about?

With what we know about the film so far, it looks like a hoot and a half, and a heartwarming story about family… in true Madea style! IMDb says,

Madea’s young great-grandniece, Tiffany, introduces her new boyfriend, Zavier, to her family and drops the shocking news to them: that the couple is getting married in two weeks, and everybody is invited to their destination wedding in the Bahamas. Despite her mother, Debrah, appearing to have everything under control, the vacation is hitting some turbulence. Madea isn’t ready to leave the country; Brian doesn’t approve of his daughter’s hasty wedding or her immature fiancée; Tiffany starts to doubt Zavier; and Debrah’s acting out of character. The whole wedding smells suspicious, and all Brian wants to know is whether or not this marriage is really all that it seems.

Filming seems to have been completed already for the film. According to IMDb, the film is currently in post-production. This means they’re working on all the technical aspects of putting the film together: editing, color correcting, audio corrections, and any special effects that the film might need.
