Get the kids involved in Martin Luther King Day at the Children’s Museum of Atlanta
Head to the Children’s Museum of Atlanta for their informative program honoring Martin Luther King, Jr. for MLK Day! Enjoy the scheduled activities that celebrate the birthday of our hometown hero, and learn all about Dr. King’s life.
Activities will inculde the Innovation Station, where you’ll learn about Martin Luther King, and think of ways you can help build a better world. There will even be a learning experience delving into his famous “I Have a Dream” speech on stage.
You’ll be able to explore his legacy through activities in the Creativity Café, and work on a collaborative mural.
Children’s Museum of Atlanta is a nonprofit organization and museum, and is the only educational venue of its kind in Atlanta. Through community outreach initiatives, educational programs, and exhibits designed for children ages 0–8. The museum strives to spark every child’s imagination, sense of discovery and learning through the power of play. Making the Children’s Museum of Atlanta a great place to honor Martin Luther King, Jr. Day with the whole family.
On Martin Luther King Day (Monday, January 17), there will be two available time slots. Session A will take place from 9:30am-12:30pm, and Session B will take place from 1:30pm-4:30pm. Check out the full schedule of special programming for MLK Day, here.
