This new adaptive project will reuse two buildings on 12th street to create a neighborhood destination. This project will be located on the corner of 12th & Piedmont making it the perfect place to visit before or after a day in Piedmont Park.
Atlantan’s will be able to enjoy a restaurant downstairs and an 800-square-foot, upstairs dining terrace with a gable covered bar overlooking the park. Guests will also be able to rent out the terrace area for private events. Adjacent to this building, will be another space with the iconic, historic skate shop Skate Escape fronted by a new coffee shop called PMA Coffee.
The goal of this new project was to honor the city’s oldest roller skate and skateboard shop. The new shop will be a newer, larger space, it will continue to offer entry-level skates, high-end investment pieces and skateboards. The PMA Coffee Shop will offer a unique coffee menu with beans from Black & White Coffee Roasters in North Carolina, a rotating selection of seasonal beverages, and pastries and baguettes from a local baker.
The design of this building is also something that went. Into careful consideration. The architects on the project wanted to try and preserve and restore as much of the old buildings. There will be an evergreen area over looking the park as well as a shared outdoor dining space.
Midtown residents can expect to enjoy this new space come mid 2023.
