Warm delicious and filling, Insomnia Cookies has it’s name for a reason…they stay open until 1AM on weekdays and 3AM on weekends. So if you catch yourself having a late night craving, IC is sure to satisfy it.
2. Café Intermezzo
This iconic spot is known for its decadent desserts. With its intimate and European ambiance this place is perfect to enjoy a solo slice of cake and pretend you are on a little European vacay. Delicious chocolate cakes, fluffy carrot cake, light crepes stuffed with fruit and creams are guaranteed to fulfill that sweet tooth desire.
3. Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream
You can never go wrong with ice cream, but especially with Jenis Ice Cream! With locations all over Atlanta this is the perfect place to grab a quick fix either on lunch break or after work. Jenis ice cream has an array of flavors that have been satisfying taste buds for years. What’s more is that they even have a dairy free option for those who may be lactose intolerant. 6. Cinnaholic
A unique and specialized spot for our sugar addicts, Cinnaholic allows patrons to enjoy their take on a Cinnabon. What’s even more unique about this locally owned shop is that they’re a 100% plant-based bakery specializing in custom gourmet cinnamon rolls, brownies, edible cookie dough, cookies, and more! Patrons may have a hard time deciding what to get, which is perfectly fine since they offer the option to build your own cinnamon roll.
7. Alons Bakery & Market
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Alon’s Bakery & Market made it onto our list, as this shop has been a staple of the Atlanta community since 1992. Originally only having 1 location in Virginia Highlands, ABM has since expanded to the Dunwoody neighborhood and a smaller location in Phipps. They house tons of pastries and breads for locals to enjoy Monday through Sunday. If you don’t get your fill on your first visit you can take as many as you’d like from the market to-go. Be sure to stop by one of their three locations.
8. Sweet Stack Creamery
This unique and gorgeous dessert bar prides itself on creating new and fun handcrafted creations. They offer traditional desserts like ice creams, cookie, and doughnut sandwiches, but with innovative and traditional flavors. They use fresh and local ingredients to give their patrons the best experience possible for each season. Bonus: The even have a vegan menu! Make sure you stop by this local gem and enjoy your stack.
