This all-day café & bakery offers French pastries, macarons, croissants, and more!
Saint-Germain French Bakery & Café is now open at Buckhead Village. Named after the Parisian neighborhood, Saint-Germain-des-Prés, the French bakery from husband-and-wife team Mathieu and Heather Jourdan-Gassin originally opened at Ponce City Market in 2016 and has become a beloved part of the mixed-used entertainment complex ever since.
Now Buckhead is getting a slice of the action. However, looking at the menu and their Instagram, perhaps a couple of slices will be necessary. The new pâtisserie offers the same beloved items as the original location, like classic French pastries, morning croissants, chouquettes, macarons, artisan organic chocolates and more.
There’s even a savory all day café menu, espresso bar and boozy offerings like fine wine and champagne. If you’ve never visited Saint-Germain then this is your sign to do so. If you love it, they even offer catering and custom specialty cakes for occasions like birthdays, graduations, and more!
Born in the South of France, Mathieu tapped into his vast experience in working with large-scale event companies combined with his wife Heather’s interior design background when they decided to open Saint-Germain French Bakery.
Now open daily at Buckhead Village, the 950-square-foot bakery features a Parisian-style interior with marble topped-tables. Customers order at a counter and can dine at café tables in the dining room or on the go. Expect breakfast, light lunch and dinner fare like croque monsieurs, quiches, grilled sandwiches, bites, soups and more. And of course, you can’t forget about the main event – the decadent sweets.
“Saint Germain French Bakery & Café is a true homage to the ‘joie de vivre’ (enjoyment of life) of French café culture,” says Founder and Co-Owner Mathieu Jourdan Gassin. “We’re excited to provide guests with a true neighborhood bakery and café to serve a little slice of France at any moment of the day.”
You can find Saint Germain French Bakery & Café in Buckhead Village at 3014 Bolling Way, or at their Ponce City Market location.
