Will I be able to see the Northern Lights in Atlanta tonight (11/12)?

Probably, actually! The aurora forecast can change pretty quickly, but due to a massive geomagnetic storm, the likelihood of you being able to see the auroras this far south is pretty high tonight!
WSB-TV says,
… tonight will be the best next chance to see them before the solar storm settles down Thursday into Friday.
So don’t miss out, Atlanta!
How can I see the Northern Lights in Atlanta tonight?

It’s the same deal as yesterday: the best way to see the lights is to get your camera out and get as far away from city lights and light pollution as possible. Here’s the best way to see the Northern Lights in Atlanta:
Go outside when it’s dark and the sun has fully set. Then, set your phone camera to ‘night mode’ and ‘long exposure’ and you’ll have the best chance of seeing the colors appear on the horizon!
This is the third time since May 2024 of widespread visibility of the auroras this far south, and we’re so excited!
