The self-proclaimed ‘elegantly weird’ Parliament of Owls is returning to Colony Square this August, to light up Midtown Atlanta in a spectacle of black and white owl lanterns.
Based on community participation, everyone is invited to make a lantern and fly the owls together, through the streets of Midtown. So prepare to flock together for a fun evening celebrating light, community, and the ATL.
You’ll be able to create your own owls on Wednesday and Thursday, August 3 & 4. Colony Square will be hosting these two special workshops where you can purchase your very own owl lantern kit, for the big day on Saturday, August 6. Owl lantern kits cost $15-$25 depending on what you want. If you’re on a budget, make sure to check out their lantern ideas and free downloads.
Attendees are asked to flock together on the Saturday at 8pm in The Plaza at Colony Square, with the parade taking flight at 9pm. For more information on this unique lantern parade, click here.
