Everyone struggles to fall asleep every now and then. With work, social life, family, finances, and so many everyday stressors, it can sometimes be hard to get to get sleep and then actually stay asleep. If you feel like you’re struggling to get rest at night… you aren’t alone. According to a new study conducted by Pure CBD Now, Georgia is the 4th most ‘sleep deprived’ state in the U.S… not great news.
How did they conduct the sleep study?
The research conducted by Pure CBD Now, “analyzes all 50 US states based on the number of times each state Googles a keyword related to sleep deprivation. The data includes 65 search terms, including; ‘can’t sleep,’ ‘how to fall asleep,’ ‘how to cure insomnia,’ ‘insomnia symptoms,’ ‘sleeping pills,’ ‘trouble sleeping,’ and ‘I want to sleep by my body won’t let me.'” That means in Georgia, we’re searching how to fall asleep more than almost every other state. The top three sleep deprived states are (in order): Nevada, New York, and Oregon.
Georgia’s top searched sleep related term is…
Pure CBD Now says that Georgia’s top search terms related to sleep issues, “include ‘sleep disorder,’ ‘insomnia,’ and ‘how to fall asleep.'” And there are 45,184 sleep-related searches in Georgia every month.
So… how do I get to sleep?
Not being able to fall asleep or stay asleep could be caused by a number of things, and without talking to a professional, it’s impossible to know exactly what you need to do. But there are some lifestyle changes you can make to help yourself relax more, and possibly help you fall asleep! Refraining from consuming caffeine in the evenings can help you be able to fall asleep better. Exercise and a healthy diet can also assist you in getting better rest, and of course, limiting screen time before bed can be helpful too.
