1. Farm Burger
Where: Buckhead
With three locations across Atlanta, Farm Burger have gained quite the reputation. Reasonably priced and extremely cozy, this place is a great option for your search to find the Supreme Atlantan burger. We recommend No.6, a double bacon cheese burger you can enjoy on their outdoor terrace,
2. Slutty Vegan
Where: Westview
This place will make any meat eater question what you’re eating. Making our list of the best Black-owned restaurants in Atlanta, Slutty Vegan is a plant-based haven. Their menu is always rotating, bringing creative vegan burgers to Atlanta. They’re even opening a plant-based Bar serving incredible cocktails and vegan bites.
3. Bocado
Where: West Midtown
A lofty, modern space serving up delicious takes on the American staple. Locals have labelled their burger one of the best in the city. You can enjoy it on their impressive patio with a delicious cocktail from their top-notch menu.
4. Sister Louisa’s Church of the Living Room & Ping Pong Emporium
Where: Sweet Auburn
The kind of Sunday Service we’ve been looking for. At Sister Louisa’s Church, the owners combine art, Ping-Pong, and faux religious pop iconography to bring you one of the best dive bars in Atlanta. They have an excellent selection of bar bites, including some tasty chicken burgers. This is definitely one of Atlanta’s most unique bar experiences.
5. BQE Lounge
Where: Sweet Auburn
Also make our best Black-owned restaraunts is The BQE Lounge. Known for their boozy brunch and burger specials. Their Edgewood Turkey Burger is next level. And level up even further with their addictive sides.
6. NFA Burger
Where: Dunwoody
Home to the self-proclaimed ‘only burger you’ll ever need’. With several awards and locals craving more, NFL may become your regular burger joint. The menu is small, but the food will speak for itself. Try your burger with a side of their Sassy Tots.
7. Kaleidoscope
Where: Brookhaven
Home to the award-winning Kaleidoscope Burger, this place have the nuptials to earn their spot here. Kaleidoscope also made it on the top of our best bottomless brunches in Atlanta. So if you head here on a Sunday, make sure you’ve got a designated driver.
8. Grindhouse Killer Burgers
Where: Peachtree
The Double Patty with Swiss cheese and grilled onions will have you dreaming of your next burger at Grindhouse. There are six locations across the city, making it one of the greatest burger stories in Atlanta history. It’s very well deserved too.
9. The Vortex
Where: Five Little Points
The OG burger restaurant in Atlanta. Famous for their OTT specials, this place even made it onto Man Vs. Food. Try their Burger Breakfast Wrap to start your day right. There are two restaurants across the city, with the skull head entrance of Little Five Points’ location being an icon in its own right.
10. FLIP burger boutique
Where: Berkeley Park
You have to try the Shrimp Burger at this ATL hotspot. Their extensive menu will please everyone. But make sure you order some golden pickles on the side, served with buttermilk ranch.
11. Stockyard Burgers And Bones
Where: Multiple locations
For the ultimate all-American feast, head to Grindhouse. Their food-porn burgers and sides are Instagram ready. We suggest trying as many burgers as you can, but you have to get the Stockyard Tots. The Sweet Potato Tots are served with Pulled Pork, Cheddar, Green Onions & BBQ Ranch!
12. Mix´d Up
Where: East Lake & Grant Park
Mix’D UP started as a rock n roll inspired food truck serving gourmet burgers blended with all kinds of flavors from around the world. Make sure you go on an empty stomach, Atlanta. These epic burgers are totally OTT, and we’re totally okay with it!
13. Holeman and Finch
Where: Multiple Locations
You’ve got to try the double-stack burger at Holeman and Fitch. Although you might go to this joint for their burger, you’ll definitely return for brunch, or dinner, or just another burger!
14. Anna’s BBQ
Where: Kirkwood
For authentic BBQ food that reigns in true to the South, head to Anna’s BBQ. Although their Slawper Burger is one of the many stars of the show, you’re going to want to order a feast at this neighborhood favorite.
15. Fred’s Meat and Bread
Where: Krog Street Market
As the name suggests, this is the perfect place to get some meat and carbs! Obviously, the burgers at Fred’s are awesome! We suggest either getting a chicken sandwich, or keeping it classic with a cheeseburger.
