St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner, and there’s no better way to celebrate than an Atlantan Irish Pub!

Due to St. Patrick’s Day falling midweek and the ongoing pandemic, St. Patrick’s Day will be different this year. The events across Atlanta are sparse and plentiful, but nothing beats an Irish Pub to honor the holiday.

Many of our favorite sports bars will also be holding St. Paddy’s Day specials. Hudson Grill will be serving will be serving green beer, and drinks specials for their festivities. But we’re here to focus on the authentic way to celebrate – Irish pubs.

Here are some of our favorite Irish pubs in Atlanta, Georgia:

1. Olde Blind Dog Irish Pub

Where: Brookhaven & Milton

Voted one of the best Irish pubs in the world, this Atlantan gem is totally OTT in the best way. Enjoy your Guinness, and feel like you’re on the cobbled streets of Dublin. However, you’ll be cozy and warm inside an Atlantan Irish pub! Olde Blind Dog Irish Pub are hosting a St. Paddy’s Day party promising the coldest beer, greatest crowds, best food and live entertainment.

2. Meehan’s Public House

This neighborhood hotspot is an incredible option for St. Patrick’s Day. Spend your day on their terrace, with plenty of outdoor seating available. You can always rely on Meehan’s for a pint, but you can’t leave without trying something from their delicious menu. We recommend their comforting Shepard’s Pie for a springtime treat.

3. Fado Irish Pub

Where: Buckhead and Midtown

With two locations across the city, Fado’s reflects on the best of Dublin today with great pints, fantastic cocktails & an outstanding kitchen featuring Irish staples. Try their unique Champagne cocktail, which uses Guinness and gin to create a cocktail you never knew you needed. This place is also great place to get your Irish coffee fix.

4. Mac McGee Irish Pub

This place is perfect if you’re a whiskey lover. It was voted one of the best whiskey bars in the city and has a traditional Irish pub interior that’ll transport you all the way to Ireland. For St. Paddy’s Day they’re having live music and offering specials for drinks and food.

5. Limerick Junction

Founded in 1988, Atlanta’s oldest Irish pub features a terrific repertoire of live Irish folk music every weekend. Although things may be slightly different due to the ongoing pandemic, Limerick Junction is the place to go for live Irish entertainment.

6. The Elder Tree

Where: East Atlanta Village

This place is a great place to catch a game in Atlanta. The stylish interiors and extensive menu makes The Elder Tree an East Atlanta green gemstone. We recommend the Red Devil burger for a delicious, fiery feast!

7. The Marlay House

Irish owners offer traditional pub-grub at this pub lover’s paradise. There’s an incredible selection of beer on tap at The Marlay. For St. Patrick’s Day, they are offering St. Paddy’s Day at Home. Each package will include St. Paddy’s Day gear to have your own party. Family platters, and delicious bites are available to order too.

8. Gibney’s Pub

They will be serving green beer this St. Patrick’s Day, so if that’s your St. Paddy’s preference then head to Gibney’s Pub. Their menu is huge and you’re going to want to try the whole menu, so enter on an empty stomach.

This is an incredible Irish pub find in Atlanta. The relaxing atmosphere and quirky décor is the perfect place to unwind after a long week. Their menu offers creativity beyond your imagination. We suggest trying the Conch fritters for a tasty treat. Bookhouse is conveniently located near Ponce City Market, making it the perfect option for a St. Patrick’s Day day out!
