Considering we’re in the twenties of this century, we thought we would highlight some of the best speakeasies in Atlanta. The city is home to some incredible bars with secret entrances, 1920s inspired décor, and more!
From sleek parlors to bars inspired by the tropics, Atlanta has it all. If you’re looking for some giggle water, try and hit all these hotspots, because we promise, they are all the cat’s pajamas! We recommend checking the opening times and reservation policies to avoid disappointment.
1. Red Phone Booth
Many are completely oblivious to the iconic British telephone box nestled in Downtown Atlanta. But if you know the everchanging secret code, you’ll enter Red Phone Booth. It’s an incredible prohibition experience featuring an exclusive cigar program and a turn of the century craft cocktail selection. They have even opened a new location in Buckhead, so be sure to check it out!

2. City Winery
This winery experience is an incredible addition to Atlanta’s list of legendary speakeasies. It’s also located in Ponce City Market, so you could make a day of it. The dimly lit and stylish bar has a welcoming and relaxing ambiance, with over a dozen tap wine options, preserved in stainless steel kegs. There’s even a patio, ideal for those who prefer to dine in the open air on cool and sunny days.

3. The Blind Pig Parlour Bar
An intimate and sophisticated speakeasy, The Blind Pig Parlour Bar features innovative craft cocktails with Victorian era décor and ambiance. We recommend the Paper Swan for a fruity treat using Amaro, simple syrup, Aperol, strawberry, lemon, and bubbles! Just for the summer, the bar has been completely transformed into the latest pop-up, The Playa Pig. Inspired by the colors and flavors of Tulum, Mexico, this tropical aesthetic will make for the perfect summer getaway.

Located in the tasty Muss & Turner’s, this bar is named after one of their inspirational colleagues, who started an exclusive ladies night at the location. Walk through the incognito chilled wine cellar and find this awesome speakeasy! Enjoy tasty dishes and incredible bourbon cocktails, as Eleanor is currently their head wine and bourbon taster.

5. The Club at Lobster Chops
With so much to do in Buckhead, this restaurant and bar experience is a great night out on the town. Chops is very exclusive and you’ll have to get a membership, but we hear it’s completely incomparable once obtained. It is a pricey option, but they have the unbeatable seafood and steaks to ease the splurge.

6. GA Chapter Room
Formerly known as The Fred, the gorgeous barrel-shaped interior complements the incredible wines on offer at GA Chapter Room. There’s also beer and a great selection of cocktails. You’ll find GA behind T. Mac, and you’ll see a door with a plaque of a monkey that you have to knock to enter.
