Atlanta is on Fire! Well not literally, but one of the hottest musicals will be scorching its way through our city come summertime. The heavily praised and fantastic musical “Hot Stuff” will be returning to Atlanta at The Lawrenceville Arts Center. Follow along this emotional ride that tells the tale of the “Queen of Disco” herself Donna Summer.
Attendees will enjoy a soundtrack of her top hits. The music takes guests on a three-part ride through the three stages of Donna’s life. The musical will start by telling the portion of Donna’s life as a preteen. Audience members will reminisce while singing along to “Duckling Donna”. Experience a preteen girl with a dream, starting in Boston in hopes of making it big! Then be swept away by the crooning sound of “Disco Donna”, highlighting her success in her late teens and 20s.
The ride concludes with “Diva Donna”, showing the many successes she achieved as well as she continued to shine at the height of her career. Attendees will enjoy major hits Hot Stuff, Bad Girls, and No More Tears (Enough Is Enough). Aurora Theater is led by women, so this is the perfect location to host the telling of one of America’s fav idols.
Showtimes will be Thursday–Friday: 8 p.m., Saturday: 2:30 p.m., 8 p.m., Sunday 2:30 p.m. The show will be presented from March 16 – April 9. Tickets start at $21 and may be purchased online at Aurora Theater.
