Restaurants
EAV Thai & Sushi – if you want some yummy Thai food or sushi, EAV is a great place to get it. You’ve definitely gotta try this delicious spot if you like spicy Thai fried rice!
Spoon Eastside – another great Thai place. They have tons of delicious options for vegetarians, too!
Little Azio – if Italian food is your desire but paying for a fancy sit-down Italian dinner is not, Little Azio is for you! Grab some casual Italian food in EAV at Little Azio!
So Ba – the perfect Vietnamese spot right here in EAV! Get their delicious pho, which has some of the freshest ingredients around… some of which are even grown right there at So Ba!
Home Grown – no list of EAV staples would be complete without Home Grown. This famous breakfast and lunch spot serves up tasty home-grown (literally) southern food!
Banshee – for more of an upscale experience, Banshee is the perfect EAV spot! They’re famous for their pepperoni butter, which you should 100% try if you haven’t! With a very intentional new American-style food menu and mouth-watering cocktails, Banshee definitely earns the love it gets from ATL.
Emerald City Bagels – if you want New York style bagels without the flight to NYC, Emerald City Bagels is the perfect spot to go. Their extensive menu of fluffy and crispy bagels will make your mouth water!
Southern Feedstore – This EAV food hall has everything you could possibly want to try in the ATL, all in one spot! From a delicious coffee bar at Buteco, to chicken and waffles at Waffle Bar, to cheesesteaks at Woody’s, and so much more, Southern Feedstore is the place to be!
Bars
The Earl – now, if you’ve heard anything about bars in EAV, you’ve probably heard of The Earl. This casual dive bar is the perfect place for a cheap PBR and some of the best local music in town. Truly loved by the community, The Earl has a special place in our hearts.
Argosy – with dark wood and cool vibes, Argosy is the perfect spot to grab a drink with friends. And don’t sleep on their wings or burgers, either!
Midway Pub – if you want a great burger and a delicious beer, Midway Pub is the place to go. They also have ample outdoor seating, if patio drinking is your vibe!
Flatiron – another EAV bar staple, Flatiron is the perfect place to grab a chill beer and hang with friends for a few hours. Whether you’re looking for a fun spot to grab a beer with lunch, or a place to party the night away, Flatiron has you covered.
Mary’s – one of ATL’s favorite queer bars, Mary’s always has something fun going on. They’ve got a two-story location, and the party also spills over onto the back porch! From amazing music to fun drag shows, Mary’s is definitely the place to dance the night away under the disco ball.
Coffee Shops
Bellwood Coffee – the coffee shop best known as the one inside a plant shop! Bellwood is perfect if you’re looking to grab a coffee and peruse some plants while you’re at it!
Joe’s East Atlanta Coffee Shop – the perfect vibe for EAV, Joe’s is effortlessly cool and has an extremely welcoming vibe. Grab a coffee and work at their ample seating, or participate in one of their many events.
The Black Coffee (technically in Lakewood Heights) – this is possibly the coolest coffee shop in the area. This Black-owned coffee place has a dope vibe and delicious drinks. Their drinks also have cute names that celebrate Black culture. Try their Brown Skin Girl if you love a sweet treat drink!
PERC (technically in East Lake) – PERC has a great vibe if you’re looking for somewhere to get your work done. They also have a delicious Crunchwrap on their menu that is simply delicious.

Check out the incredible East Atlanta Village Farmers Market
One of the oldest and best farmers markets in the city, the EAV Farmers Market never disappoints. The market runs from spring to fall (March 28th – November 14th), and happens rain or shine on Thursdays from 4pm – 8pm.
They sell everthing from ethically sourced food like: eggs, bread, vegetables and more, to artisan goods like soaps, jewelry, and so much more!
