Gunshow restaurant located in East Atlanta has become one of Atlanta’s more unique dining experiences. It has now been a staple in the community for 10 years! And has just signed another 10-year lease, so the good eats aren’t going anywhere anytime soon. Chef Gillespie’s concept for this restaurant was to give guests a unique AND delicious dining experience all in one which is exactly what you get at the Gunshow!
Guests are treated to a fantastic show, with their dishes prepared in front of them as well as their cocktails. Cocktails are rolled out on a cart and prepared by a bartender who can tell them a little bit more about what goes into making their drink. Gunshow guarantees patrons will never get bored at their restaurant by serving an ever-changing menu. The menu varies from day to day with a single dish staying on the menu for about three weeks before changing. Their unique approach is what has helped them stay around for as long as they have, even surviving the treacherous COVID-19 pandemic.
Gillespie took his unique take on hospitality a step further and has gotten rid of the concept of front of house vs. back of house. Everyone who works at Gunshow contributes to all aspects of the restaurant from serving to cooking to slicing fruit! Roles are interchangeable. With that philosophy at the head of his restaurant, it should come as no shock that Gillespie and co-owner Mark Shaws restaurant has reminded steadfast!
