Margaritaville is coming to Atlanta with new Downtown location.
The permit application for the forthcoming Margaritaville restaurant and bar is currently in process. Strand Capital Group and Wyndham Vacation Resorts Inc. filed the papers for the new addition of a 22-story resort at 155 Centennial Olympic Park Drive.
Margaritaville restaurant and bar will be a part of the new resort, that’ll rest in the heart of downtown Atlanta.
Margaritaville is inspired by the music of Jimmy Buffet, and is a casual dining American restaurant chain. There are twenty-seven locations in the Americas including Florida, Mexico and the Caribbean.
They write on their website, “Margaritaville is more than a restaurant; it’s a state of mind. Margaritaville has everything you need to have a good time with great island-inspired food, several unique bars, live music, and two levels of seating overlooking the dynamic downtown Atlanta entertainment district.”
Beyond their margaritas, the chain are known for their burgers and resort-style aesthetic. You can even purchase beachwear at their outlets.
However, the upcoming Downtown Margaritaville has been received with mixed reviews across social media, due to the fact that historic buildings must be removed for its fruition.
The Downtown Margaritaville development has been in the works for several years, first surfacing in 2016.
Although no official date has been released yet, keep your eyes peeled for more information. You’ll be enjoying Margaritaville margaritas very soon, Atlanta.
