Here in Atlanta we celebrate Pride in June AND October (and all year round)! One of the best ways to celebrate National Pride Month is by supporting Atlanta’s many queer-owned businesses. We asked for some of your favorites on Instagram, and y’all didn’t let us down! So if you’re looking to check out some delicious restaurants, yummy coffee spots, or even the best thrift shops in town, keep scrolling to shop queer-owned this month!

1. Guac Y Margys

If you’re looking for delicious tacos this Pride month, you’ve gotta check out Guac y Margys! Enjoy an incredible selection of margaritas and Mexican-inspired bar bites! This queer-owned restaurant is a delicious addition to your list of spots to check out this month!

An incredibly welcoming space with incredibly delicious coffee, make sure you check out FiNCA TO FiLTER! This queer-and-woman-owned business serves up the perfect cup of Joe. We’re always find ourselves craving their awesome Chai Lattes. They even hold fun events like Drag Queen Bingo, and they participate in Farmer’s Markets across the city.

Where: Decatur
Charis Books and More is a woman-and-queer-owned bookstore that specializes in diverse and unique books on feminism! This amazing lesbian-owned bookstore stocks its shelves with books that tackle issues faced by women and the LGBTQ+ community. There are children’s books, feminist, and cultural studies books, books on anti-racism, and lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer fiction AND non-fiction. So what are you waiting for, Atlanta? Go and stock up on some incredible reading material.

There’s a wonderful LGBTQ+ showbar in town, and you don’t want to miss out on their incredible events! Especially on weekends, as a new drag n’ dine extravaganza takes over the venue on Fridays and Saturdays. Fantasy Girls Cabaret features several incredible queen, including RuPaul’s Drag Race’s Phoenix, and Lala Ri. Joining the RuGirls on the sickening line-up are Atlantan legends Raquel Rea Heart, Destiny Brooks, and Cici Nicole!

Where: Midtown
The most popular and well-known lesbian bar in town is My Sister’s Room! Also lesbian-owned, this amazing bar is a wonderful spot to check out among the lesbian community, queer community, and the ‘gay-friendly crowd’! They’ve got nightly drag shows, burlesque shows, comedy, karaoke, and more… oh, and try their lemon pepper wings (thank us later).
6. El Viñedo Local
Where: Midtown
El Viñedo Local is one of our favorite eateries with delicious outdoor dining options! Enjoy crafty cocktails and a South American-inspired menu on their top-notch patio. We can never resist trying out a couple of wines from their extensive menu.

Where: Lindridge
We all know that the best way to find a fun new fit is by going thrifting! If you’re looking for a cool queer-owned spot to get some few clothes (or trinkets, of course), you’ve gotta check out Lost-N-Found! All proceeds from this thrift store go to their non-profit—a local organization that aids homeless LGBTQ youth. It’s open to the public most days, and features donated clothing, accessories, furniture, and more!

Take a break from your hectic lives at this “friendly oasis,” founded with the notion that everyone should have access to fresh, healthy, and creative food. Metro Fresh is great for tasty treats and that well-needed health kick we all crave sometimes. We recommend one of their comforting soups in the fall or winter months, and one of their refreshing salads in the summer!

Replenish your mind, body, and soul at Sister Louisa’s Church of the Living Room & Ping Pong Emporium in Atlanta. This glorious hole-in-the-wall is home to holy spirits, non-stop ping pong, and galleries of transcendent artwork. Known by its patrons as as Church, this is a sacrilegious heaven. (And just to be clear… it’s not a church at all!)
