Ever wondered what the animals at Zoo Atlanta are up to at night? As you probably know, a lot of animals are nocturnal, in other words, they’re most active at night… so what better time to explore the zoo and see all the animals? You can actually take a tour of the zoo at night, and then spend the night right there with the animals through Zoo Atlanta’s Nightcrawler Overnight!
Who is Nightcrawler Overnight designed for?
Whether you’re planning an event for a school or scouts group or just an unforgettable family outing, Nightcrawler Overnight is an event your kids will remember forever!
According to Zoo Atlanta’s website, “Each program features a guided Zoo tour and biofact exploration with a knowledgeable Zoo Educator, the opportunity to observe animals’ nocturnal behaviors using technology like night vision scopes, engaging group activities, a ride on the Endangered Species Carousel, a catered breakfast, and more!”
For families, this over-night experience is designed for families with children ages 6+!
Where do you stay during your spend-the-night experience?
Zoo Atlanta says: “all sleeping locations are in climate-controlled buildings with a restroom either in the building or nearby.” So don’t worry about having to ‘rough it’ at Zoo Atlanta! Make sure to pack your sleeping bag and anything you might need during the night!
In the morning
The next day, wake up with the animals and see how they greet the day! Enjoy a catered breakfast, and after your Nightcrawler Experience ends, feel free to spend the rest of the day at the Zoo if you want to!
