Listen. No one does drag OR brunch quite like Atlanta. Our drag scene is absolutely thriving with beautiful, talented queens, and with our Southern cooking and delicious mix of cultures’ cuisines… our brunch scene ain’t too shabby either!
For Pride weekend, which is October 14th-15th this year, we want to celebrate queerness!
One of the best ways to celebrate our incredible queer community is by going to a drag show! Drag is an incredible art form, with deep roots in the LGBTQ+ community. Drag is fun–it’s exciting, and beautiful, and it’s important.
And, as they often do, Elsewhere Brewing is housing an amazing Drag Brunch in Grant Park on October 14th, hosted by local drag group, A lot to Love Events!
The show was previously sold out (tickets go FAST), but they just opened up more time slots to allow more people to come celebrate with them! For all the information, check out their website!
What should you expect when you go?
If you’ve never been to a drag show before, you’re in for a real treat! Performers dressed in high femme, glittery, sexy, and sometimes outrageous outfits, interact with the audience, perform lip syncs, dance, and death drop (you’ll see). It’s a very interactive experience–the queens will talk and tease with you, and of course, you need to have your dollar bills ready to tip them for it!
You can also expect to see some of Atlanta’s favorite queens while you sip on your mimosas. The lineup includes: Victoria Lefaris, Amaya Glamazon, Erica Chanel, Alabama, and The Roller Gay! And our lovely host will be Atlanta’s beautiful Mona Lott!
It really is an incredibly fun time, in a space made safe for everyone by the queer community. Grab your tickets for an super fun bunch, delicious themed cocktails and beer, and get hooked on drag!
If you can’t catch their show at Grant Park you can grab tickets to their first show at their new location, The Greenhouse, in West Midtown next month on November 11!
