8. Attend this amazing anime and gaming convention all weekend long
Atlanta get ready to enjoy one of the largest multi-generation conventions in the southeast. MomoCon originally started as a 700-person on-campus event that has grown into one of the largest events in the southeastern U.S. for fans of gaming, animation, cosplay, comics, and tabletop games. This amazing event begins on Friday, May 26, and will be open 24 hours non-stop throughout the weekend. This convention is a haven for fans of gaming, costuming (cosplay), and meeting celebrity voice talent, designers, and writers behind their favorite shows, games, and comics.
9. Groove to the smooth tunes at the Atlanta Jazz Festival
The Atlanta Jazz Festival is regarded as one of the largest free jazz festivals in the country, annually celebrating jazz music, iconic legends, and up-and-coming artists! The three-day festival will take over Piedmont Park from May 27 to May 29 — however, the fun doesn’t stop there. On top of the free festival, venues will be holding special events and concerts in collaboration with the festival throughout the entire month of May!
10. Check out the new drone and light show at Stone Mountain
Stone Mountains’ annual fireworks show gets a makeover this year and they are ready to debut their new drone light show for residents this weekend! Guests will enjoy a full day of family fun. Attractions include Dinosaur Explore and Scenic Railroad. Visitors can also hike the one-mile trail to the top of Stone Mountain for amazing views of downtown Atlanta.
