To celebrate 50 years the Garden planted double the bulbs for an immersive spring bloom.
One spring must-see for your bucket list: the Atlanta Botanical Garden is celebrating its 50th anniversary by planting double the usual number of bulbs on the Great Lawn for an expanded Atlanta SUPER Blooms. The dramatic display is expected to peak in March and April, and the Great Lawn Bloom cam streams daily from 8am to 6pm, so you can check progress remotely.

Atlanta’s favorite spring festival is back, after a close call of nearly closing permanently last year. But don’t worry! You can still enjoy this nearly-century-long Atlanta tradition this April.
Festival-goers can expect the usual Dogwood Fest fun, along with some swanky new additions to the festival! With more than 250 fine artists, live music & entertainment, tons of delicious food and drinks, family fun events and a Party in the Park experience, there’s something for everyone to enjoy!

See 20 million daffodils at Gibbs Gardens this spring!
For a spring day trip from Atlanta, head to Gibbs Gardens in Ball Ground, GA—home to the largest daffodil display in the United States, with roughly 20 million daffodils spread across 50 acres. The daffodil season typically runs from early March through mid-April, and tickets are required for admission.

To celebrate the U.S.’s 250th anniversary, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra is producing a free concert in Piedmont Park!
Conducted by Finan Jones, the evening’s program will feature a gorgeous selection of orchestral favorites specially selected for the occasion, including beloved American composers John Williams, Leonard Bernstein and Florence Price, and masterworks by Dvořák and Mozart.
There will also be food trucks selling delicious picnic food and drinks!

Speaking of America’s 250th birthday, there’s another can’t-miss experience coming to the ATL! The Freedom Plane (which is a play on the 1970s “American Freedom Train”) is making a stop with some truly historic documents, including:
- George Washington’s, Alexander Hamilton’s, and Aaron Burr’s Oaths of Allegiance, 1778: Oaths of Allegiance that all officers of the Continental Army signed during the Revolutionary War.
- Secret Printing of the Constitution in Draft Form, 1787: A rare copy of the U.S. Constitution in draft form, with the delegate’s handwritten notes made during the Constitutional Convention in 1787
- Treaty of Paris, 1783: Signed by John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, and John Jay, this Treaty with Great Britain formally recognized the United States as an independent nation.
