Take me to CHURCH! This iconic blasphemously church-themed dive bar serves some of the best drinks–including a Blood of Christ sangria, with organ karaoke & weekly Ping-Pong tournaments. The fabled story of Sister Louisa’s Church traces back to 1978, to a convent near Baron Rouge, Lousiana. It was there that disgraced nun, Sister Louisa, fell in love with the convent’s janitor, Lamar Thibideau. Lore has it that “Luscious” Lamar uncovers various items of “trash” to Sister Louisa, who transforms them into works of art. And this place is a work of art.
