1. The best places to live in the country were announced, and three Atlanta locations made the top 15 spots!
If you live in Atlanta, you already know that some of our neighborhoods are the best place to live… but now it’s official! A recent study found the best places to live in the entire country based on tons of metrics, ranging from public school access, nightlife, diversity, and so much more! Read all about it here!
2. Only one single Atlanta restaurant was nominated for a James Beard Award
This year, a team of two is up for ‘best chef in the southeast,’ and we couldn’t be more excited for them! This incredible honor is only given to the best of the best in the restaurant industry, and we’re rooting for our Atlanta-based nominees!

Atlanta is home to a beautiful and thriving Black and queer community, and we’re thrilled to celebrate and honor them! This year, the first ever Global Black Pride festival in the entire United States will be held right here in Atlanta! For festival details, check out our article here!
4. 420 Fest announced that tickets will be FREE for all
If you wanted to go to 420 Fest but the tickets were too expensive, well… you’re in luck! 420 Fest announced on Friday that they’re going back to their roots! The festival will be free for all general admission tickets, with a $10 donation to Waterkeeper Alliance, an organization that helps ensure all people have access to clean, healthy drinking water.
